History

So what’s the story behind the name Gåsapågen?

Skåne (Scania) in the south most part of Sweden, a boy farmer herding geese is called a gåsapåg. (Gåsapågen is definite form.)
In the book The Wonderful Adventures of Nils by Selma Lagerlöf the main character Nils is a geese herder, a.k.a. gåsapåg. The story starts not to far from where this company was founded.

Part of the local community

We engage and support a couple of different initiatives to boost our local community.

We helped revive the old brewery and still own the name.
2014 we ran the first unofficial marathon along the southern most coastline in Sweden. 2024 marks the ten year anniversary.
To boost local restaurants we supported a initiative to map and rate all restaurants in Trelleborg.
